Greetings Ya'll:
My neighbor called me this morning and asked if I could bring a couple of sawbaldes down to his house, and also a dado set. He just lives down the road and in the woods, and he does woodworking, also. He just got a new X5 UniSaw, and said he was having a little trouble with it. Said I'll be there shortly. So I threw a couple in the truck and headed out. I said" What's the problem"? " My blades won't go on the arbor smoothly. They will go on with a little wiggle, but tight. I knew you had one, and wanted to check it out with one of your blades to see if I had a bad blade". So I tried mine-- same thing. Tried the dado set-- same thing. I checked the arbor with my vierneer calipers-about .0006 over-size. I thought of turning on the saw, putting a file on the arbor, and taking it down that way. But it would flatten the threads, I think. Now what? I'll ask the LJs and see if I can get an answer, short of sending the saw back. So-- I'm seeking help for this problem and a fix…...........
If anybody out there can help, I'll pass it to my neighbor…............... I know he'll appreciate it…....Thanks.
