For the last three days I have trying to locate ATSM-2729 S&D 6" in SLC Utah without in luck so far

Bert, I think you are looking for ASTM D2729. I just did a Google search and the first one to pop up was Tractor Supply. I don’t know your zip code so couldn’t tell if it was available near you.

It can be tough to find, didn’t you say in the other post you had decided to go with galvenized? Anyway, if there is a Hughes Supply in SLC (they are national, I think) you might try them for the thinwall. Like Dallas said, if there is a Tractor Supply (or other farm/urban living chain) they may have it as well.

I tried tractor supply, they do not have one in Utah.
I tried another six companies this morning, nobody carry it. I am now going to try Hugues Supply.
Yes, I wrote that I shall go with galvanized but I still hope to be able to use PVC, I just like PVC better and I believe that ii would be less noisy.

I have the same issue here in DC. Cannot find the thinwall stuff, only the regular, at Lowes (not HD) and it is about 40 some bucks for a 10’ lenght

Bert, Why not the green D3034? That should be pretty easy to find. It’s about all we use around here for septic runs.

I just called Ferguson again.
I had someone on the phone, very helpful, in Ogden.
They do not carry thin wall PVC but normal sewer pipe, they sale 6” pipe for $2.02/foot, because trough my company I am a good customer. I called another company which wanted $4.34/foot for the same stuff!
A 6×6x6x slip Wye is 24.07
SLC do not carry slip fittings but only O-ring fittings but from Ogen, Dave can ship everything in SLC at no additional cost.

A galvanized 6×6x6x Wye at HD is only 10.98.less than 1/2 price.
The 6” pipe is only $1.62/foot and no static electricity.
I am still going to go with galvanized.

Just realized that crashn, I’m sure that’s the problem then, I’ve never seen 6” storm and drain pipe.

Bert, you can get the fittings through McMaster Carr, and they seem to only charge actual shipping. It’s been quite a while since I priced any, but they seemed quite competitive. Of course, if you can’t get the pipe…I guess it doesn’t matter about the fittings.

no worries, building a saw/downdraft table and wishing now that I had gone galvanized instead of 6” pvc

Crashn, even with galvanized and my shop is not that big ,I am for already over $600.00 of pipe and fittings.
PVC would have been more that double that price.
Why is everything so expensive?
