Made of hickory. My wife and I take these to our local concert in the park. They are light weight, easy to carry, very low to the ground as not to obstruct the view of other concert attendees!

love these things! check you the ones I made… http://lumberjocks.com/projects/50562 very identical only mine have a fabric instead of slats for your back. I got the idea from a canadian home workshop magazine. kudos!

Nice! Where did the plans come from for this type of chair? I’d love to build a couple to take down to the beach when it gets nice out (like today, it’s 75 degrees and sunny hahaha)

Plans were from an old magazine, probably the same one Mark got his from. I don’t remember which anymore as my copy is just a worn out copy machine copy.
