I found this great piece of cocobolo with cathedral grain and thought it migh make a nice cribbage board for my nephew. The peg tracks follow the grain and I used brass inlay for the cribbage markers. The edge was relieved with a beading bit and then the whole board was sanded (taking care to wear a mask) up to 1500 grit. As cocobolo is a very oily wood no finish was applied – only wax.

Very nice work, Q how did you keep all the holes lined up and straight as you were drilling? Did you have a jig or template / pattern that you followed? P.S my dad calls himself the world champ ..haha so I want to make him a nice board for xmas and hopefully take the title! Take care and again super nice!

Sweet board. I am deathly allergic to cocobolo. I still think its the most beautiful rosewood. I love the simple board. I always thought that blown glass pegs would be cool. Nice job. I’m takin two for his nobs

Love this!
My first cribbage board was working along great until I flipped it over to do peg storage. LOL!
