Not a big fan of garage sales, but my wife is, so in an effort to not discourage her from going she will call me if she sees any tools (I think she is doing reverse psychology, it works), most of the stuff she finds is junky, but today she asked if I needed a hand sander, I always ask for her to send me a pic.

This is what she sent

It was pretty ruff looking when I went to look at it, no batteries or charger. Caked with stuff, looked like drywall dust and over spray, the shroud looked pretty corroded and pitted. He said it worked but didn’t know. But for $4 I would take a chance. After a little clean up and lube. Painted the shroud with hammered paint and a new blade, tried it on a piece of oak and it cut it like butter. New (to me) 18V Dewalt circular saw (hand sander, as my wife calls it) added to my collection.

Some times you get lucky! And for $4 bucks!!!

Nice score on the sander!

Its funny with wives right? My wife used my wooden mallet to drive in nails and my dust collector to vacuum fries out of the car and plugged it….It kind of evens out when I don’t get that she’s got a different haircut

Thats a good one Chelios, I used her mixer attachments to mix some grout with my drill, she wasn’t happy.

Nice little saw. Would even be worth investing in a new battery.

She’s a keeper and the saw is nice too! I would advise you to stay out of the kitchen unless you’re washing the dishes. Luckey Dawg! Can you think Brownie Points ;-))
