Started woodworking after watching Norm on NYW. My father was always building different things and I thought it was so cool to see him figure things out and put it all together.

I took an early retirement from the Post Office as a window clerk after 28 yrs, YEA!! Now I will have to work for a living. Will be woodworking and laser engraving to help cover the change in my income, but it will be so much more enjoyable with no one micro managing my day. I still can't stop smiling!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi, I too am a postal worker, but in maint. looks like I’ve got about twice as long till retirement. Ugh! Just wanted to say hi and comment on how well shop time seems to relieve the stress of “work” time.
