Does anyone have a JET JCS-10? I found one on craig’s list for $650 and it being hardly used i am considering buying as i need a good cabinet saw but i don’t want to get something that will just let me down. Any advice?

I own a Jet 10” 2HP cabinet saw with the 50” deluxe xacta fence II. It included a “free” bosch router, router lift and extension table. I paid $1,600 big ones for it a little over eight years ago and prices have actually gone up a bit since then. I use it daily. It has been an absolute work horse and is still dead on flat and accurate. The fence is easily adjustible if you are ever out of alignment which only happened once when I dropped the fence – my bad. Only one thing has gone awry and that was a broken pin on the blade height adjustment mechanism. Ten bucks in parts and all was right with the world.
I would highly recommend Jet table saws and $650 is not a bad price for a lightly used saw assuming the fence is included. I have used Powermatic and Delta cabinet saws and the Jet performs equally as well. My only regret is that I should have purchased at least a 3HP saw. While my current 220V single phase 2HP motor is adequate, it is underpowered under some circumstances. In fact, I’m not sure if they even sell the 2HP cabinet saw version any more.

It’s a nice saw & was #1 on my list until I found a vintage one for a steal. I don’t think you’ll be let down at that price (unless it’s sans a fence).
