inlaying a hair comb
Well, finally I did this. The brief process of inlaying a hair comb right here.Of course first I need a sketch on my comb and my wife do it for me: Next step is cutting a groove for the brass ribbon: Then I use a lathe for cutting a mother of pearl: After this phase I cut a space for mother of pearl peaces: And the final steps are grinding and polishing the comb. Usually I use a dentist`s drill for these operations. And after that I have the comb in beech inlaid with brass and mother of pearl saturated with linseed oil:
