My name is Tom I am from northern Indiana. I have had a long time passion for woodworking and am currently pursuing my dream of being a great woodworker. In 2011 I lost my closest cousin due to suicide and never knew his wonderful hidden talent of woodworking until his leaving us. My aunt said I could have learned a'lot from him but neither of us really knew of each others interest. Sometimes life gets too hectic being the father of 5 children and money can be tight most times but my dreams are pretty simple. I have a small 2 stall garage to hopefully finish converting to a workshop and have a few nice machines to help me carry out my dreams but of course the rest is up to me.

Because I often get asked questions by new members I’ve included the answers to the most( FAQ) along with my welcoming message to LJs.
You should know that posting questions or projects here (your profile page) will not get you very many responses’ just because it’s your profile page not part of a main forum. To post in a main forum read below.

thank you all I am finishing up a aquarium stand for my new 125 gallon salt water tank pretty simple with a pro and con. The pro being it looks good lol but also I wanted to compliment the ocean in a way being a saltwater tank so I …......okay I ruined the beauty of the wood even tho it was merely red oak I stained it and Im so ashamed ha ha no I used a ocean blue with the grain of the wood coming thru as a carmel kinda signifying the ocean/beach perception with the added effect I rubbed it out dry in random places to also give it the washed up on shore look kinda like antiquing but I am learning quickly to let the beauty of the wood come out so that is my first and only woodworking sin. I will post some pics soon but this is my first true project that i took my time on using the router and kreg jig and so forth. I am happy to be able to share my ideas and learn from pro’s like you guys in fact I like this better than facebook. I look forward to becoming aquiainted with some of you. Merry Christmas to all
Have your say...
