I'm just a regular gal - but married, with children (six of them! ... :)
Miss my dad - carpenter all his life - always fixin' and buildin' something.
Thought I would pick up where he left off, and going to start off with an ambitious project: barrister bookcase.
Looking for plans online, and ~ ! voila ! ~ I found this site! And what wonderful, friendly people!
Can't wait to get started - I'm sure my dad's looking down from heaven and beaming already from what I built :D

Welcome! You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Years ago I brought about $200 of Padauk wood to make a barrister bookcase. After cutting it up I desided that it would be too red, so I stored ithe wood in a cardboard box. It will probably still be in that box years from now. I never did make the barrister bookcase. The wife desided that it would not fit in. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Have fun and work safe.
