I potentially have a job coming up for 2200sq foot of tongue and grove hardwood flooring. I need help converting bf to sq foot. The flooring would be 5” wide and 3/4” thick so I would get 4/4 lumber. How do I figure out how many bf I need for 2200 linear feet?

How many years am I looking at to dry? - 39 replies
First time ever buying anything on Craigslist I just bought 350 bf of Walnut for $2/bf. All pieces are 8’ long with numerous 1” pieces, 7 2” thick pieces and one 4” thick pieces. All the 2” and 4” still have the bark on them. They were cut a month ago so how many years am I looking at until I can use it?

Small crack in chair headrest - Walnut - 9 replies
I am in the process of completing another Maloof rocker and my headrest has developed a small crack in the top. The crack is maybe 2 inches long. I can’t start over with the headrest so what are my options to prevent it from cracking more? Should i fill it with glue and sand the remained off? Chair is made of black walnut.

I was cutting 8/4 Wenge today on my 3HP Sawstop cabinet saw today and it was so hard that it bound up the blade. It took all i could to get the piece off the saw after I stopped the motor. Anyone ever have this happen before?
