Perhaps it is just me but I see this design as being related to the Memphis Design Group aesthetic and I think finishing it in a palette of primary colors (lacquered) could be quite successful.

Thank you very much Jim. jlsmith5963 , did we speak about it before? : ) Please don’t read my mind: I’ve asked yesterday for the prices of HDF in basic colours thinking in building the whole in MDF covered with this material. I’ll look after this Memphis Design Group: I’ve a very short knowledge about design. Thank you very much also.

Yes, I know some of that items. But I’m not sure if the idea behind it is the same. jlsmith5963 or anybody else, does anybody know anything about the group “philosophy”? You may laugh about it, but I’m trying to express the way I’m feeling the reality at this moment: it is built from lots of different parts that come together at a place and for a moment and it is us that give to it a “common” sense, a meaning as a whole. For that reason and for the annoyance that the repeated element (handles) transmit, because of it repetition (“common sense is sense because it’s common -repeated-”, Alejandro Moreno, a kind of cultural relativity awareness -what is of common sense for you can be a madness for a chinese, and the other way round) that I’ve not met a decision about the outstanding handles. In fact I think I’ve taken that decision yet. It is a considerable handicap to express such “phylosophical” ideas in english.

Here is the wikipedia page on the Memphis Group (there is also this ) but based on your comment, your philosophical ideas are much different than the members of Memphis. They were a rather comical bunch. I understand the difficulties of expressing complex ideas in a 2nd language (and this forum isn’t really geared for those types of discussions anyways). I only offered the link to the Memphis work as a somewhat interesting link to your work that you might not be aware of.
