no previous part Part 1 of Grinder Tool Stand series no next part

So how I decided to build this came from another project I wanted to start which was a large bible stand for a friend. I decided I wanted to add detail to the joints by dovetailing them but found my chisels were horribly wounded from a year of not knowing how to care for and sharpen them.

So from the this I decided to learn to sharpen them and from there wanted to do so in a controlled way. After looking on lee valley I say a chisel grinder stand and wolverine turning guide that i thought was great. But before ordering I decided to have a look for shop made ones and lone and behold there are others as frugal as me. I saw some great ideas inspiration from here especially from Carterswhittling and decided to build one like that. Having decided to built one like his I will also be taking this opportunity to hone my finishing skills with some teak oil, sand sealer, varnish and trim work.

After seeing all the wonderful projects here on Lumber Jocks it truly inspire me to learn more and more and start to create my own individual projects but one thing time.
