My web site has been an evolution process. I’ve been trying to make thing easier to navigate and to especially find information. One of the main draws to my site has been the Current Projects page. There I post pictures daily on what I am working, I also have a video stream of the ship, that will show 1 of 4 camera view of the shop. Customers watch what I’m working on.

I’ve always archived my pictures each month, but would put the links on a separate page. They can now be accessed from the Current Projects page. I encourage customer to look through past project to get some ideas.

Recorded Video
Sometime my customer miss the live video stream. In the past I’d record the video and do a lot of coping and pasting to get them on the site. I now added tab on the chat box to show the latest videos. It is now more automatic and instant.

Search Box
The last change I made was adding a google search box at the top of the home page and also making a search page by itself. This will making it easier to find specific pieces. It help both the customer and me. I’ll search when trying to find an example for a customer.

I’d like to commend you on your web page, Chris. I think it’s well laid out, and it has been a model of what I’ve been wanting to do on my site for several years. No video, but I’ve been wanting to post “in progress shots”, but never seem to have the time or the extra person to take the photos. I tried to get a blog going, but even that is going slow.

You’re doing a great job, producing a great product, and now your web site is definitely keeping pace and providing plenty of info for your prospective clients. Thanks for the inspiration.
