The platform is a four leg design. The legs are 6 1/2” high with a 4 1/2” runner in between them. The legs are attached permanently to the footboard with 3 dowels and 2 pocket screws. The side rail runner is connected to the legs by a draw bolt and a half moon type connector. Two of these type of connectors in each corner along with a single dowel.
Even though this is a full size the platform is 70” overall wide. There will be bookcases that will sit on the platform and run along the side of the bed.
