I recently looked at the pics of my shop from a few years ago and thought it would be fun to document the layout of my shop now. Here is a tour and layout of my 2 car garage woodshop. I go over my woodworking equipment, what i like, don’t like and what I want to upgrade to in the future. It’s a little long so there are time marks when I talk about each tool in the description. Thanks for watching!

Nice tour. Did the added board eliminate the snipe on your Dewalt planer? If is that just to manage larger board easily.

Also, were you able to adjust the height gauge to be useful or do you ignore it?

Bronco Brian, I made the melemene(Spelling??) board to act as a planer sled and just flipped it over when i wasn’t using it for that. The slick surface turned out making feeding boards through the planer easier so I kept it. It didn’t help with the little bit of snipe i get though. I have never paid attention to the height gauge on the planer.

Thanks for the response. Makes sense. I’ve thought those extension tables were silly, too short to ve very valuable and the snipe issue on that planer needs to be solved somehow. I know if it not significant, but I assume that larger planers don’t have that problem? I may be wrong about that.
