On March 2nd I will begin teaching a basic carpentry/woodworking class in Chibuto, Mozambique at the Center of Hope (an orphanage under construction). They will be taught about wood and how to build with basic hand tools. The class will last three months and will be the first of three courses. I am doing this because this is what the Lord has called me to do with the gift He has given me.

Thru Lumberjocks I was able to have contact with several woodworkers in South Africa (which borders Mozambique) who have provided me with insight and information on resources available in South Africa. I would like to thank them. THANK YOU – Johan, Knysna, South Africa – Art, Pringle Bay, South Africa – Peter Alkema, Johannesburg, South Africa. Peter has authored a book (Woodworking for Everyone) and has donated one for me to use in teaching my class, thanks Peter.

So, THANK YOU Lumberjocks for providing what you provide – great information and contacts around the world with which we are able to communicate with.
