This is my shop. Its in my 2 car garage.

It gets bloody cold in the winter. So i have added weather stripping and insulation to my garage doors. I have created a 10 degree (Celsius) difference between the garage and mother nature.

When i am willing to brave the cold i use a 1500 watt electric heater. It really only wastes my money.

Anthony, it looks like your shop gets plenty of use. To tell the truth I would rather see a shop with sawdust on the floor as opposed to one in pristine shape that appears as if it never gets used. Mine looks like this at times and, for some reason, I just can’t seem to convince my wife that a wood shop and sawdust go together. She complains if I leave sawdust on the floor because I “track it into the house”. :)

Thanks for the picture. I enjoyed seeing your shop.

Anthony, you have a nice shop and you seem to have plenty of room.

Anthony,

You are off to a good start on weatherproofing your space. Have you insulated the ceiling yet? If not, start there, then go to the walls…

Ah, a real shop! It’s got sawdust and beer and everything – what more could you want! Well, maybe a little heat during the winter!
