I have been VERY busy since my retirement with adirondack chairs, rustic coolers and pet beds-all made from cypress and stained and sealed with General Finishes products. I had all my Christmas orders delivered on time-if you call Christmas Eve-on time :). A couple days later I decided to go on all the Facebook sale sites in the area-there are about 25 and place an ad for end of the year orders. It started-’Four days left before Jan 1 to lock in 2013 pricing.’ Then I added some pictures and WOW! 36 orders in 4 days! That will take 3-4 months! If you are selling your woodworking projects-try the FB sale sites in your area. What a great way to get your wares (a narrative and your great digital pictures) in front of thousands for NO cost!!

Do you have them pay up front, or when they pick up the stuff?

Would you give us the name of a few. I have searched and do not seem to find what you are finding.

I also searched FB and didn’t find a free place to sell stuff. Could you share a link?

I am bumping this, as I too would like to hear from Dave regarding the Facebook sites he was talking about.

I would assume that he is referring to groups.

The area that I live in isn’t large enough to qualify for it’s own CL site. So there are numerous buy/sell/trade groups for the area. Members of the group can go on and post up a “comment” with an offer or a “WTB”.

I am not aware of an actual commercial portion of FB.

It really isn’t a commercial site. It is a group site, but some groups have thousands if you live in a big suburb. We are outside Memphis and there are at least twenty five sites I have found. Arlington Resale, Collierville Resale, Better than Etsy, Better than Ebay and on and on…....Some have a few hundred members and some have thousands. I can literally create sales in one hour of posting. I have 24 chairs to make and 17 coolers. These site are amazing as so many see them and it is FREE!! Here’s one I cut and pasted for you.

Something is in the air! So many rustic cooler orders flying in! Booked through Father’s Day, but the entire summer of good weather awaits. Don’t DELAY, order TODAY!! Handcrafted in Bartlett. Made of cypress, which is weather resistant. Top quality stains and sealers used. 48 qt cooler surrounded with gorgeous stained cypress-$195 plus delivery in Shelby County-$15.
