My first introduction to woodwork was the beginning of my Carpentry/Joinery apprenticeship which began in 1957, (yes I know I'm old, ---- ancient actually, but I am grateful to be still here doing it).
My employment ranged from the building construction industry, later to boatbuilding and then 22 years in the Royal Australian Navy, firstly as a Naval Shipwright and later as an Marine Engineering Officer, after that I returned to Major Construction Project management and yet always kept hands on my woodwork as a hobby and relaxation tool.
Now retired, I make piles of sawdust, try to meet the manufacturing requirements of my extended family and sometimes make things just because I can. I love being in the workshop and/or communicating with like minded people.
