Looking for a new home for this vintage rockwell lathe. Trying to sell/ trade this for cash or equal value of $250. Located in somerset, NJ. If you have a truck, 2-3 strong friends that can get this out of a basement, please contact me. Thanks. Bob

This machine runs on 110 volts.

Why can’t I ever make a find like this close enough for me to get?
This would be my dream lathe, and at a decent price.
I hope whoever gets it is grateful.

Wish I lived nearby…how much does that weigh?

it comes apart. take the head off, then the bed, and you now have a manageable amount of weight.

the based probably unscrews to three pieces.

I live nearby, but I just bought a lathe recently. Would rather have had this one.

what hp, single or 3phase. if single 110 or 220.

Can anyone identify the year, model of this lathe? I agree it can come apart for easier movement out of the shop, up the stairs and into your truck. I’ll get back to you on Sunday on voltage but I believe it’s just a regular 110 volt line. My guess on weight us 600 to 700 pounds. Anyone have one of these? This has a 12” swing x 42 ” bed.

Looks to me to be a 46-450 model, anyone know the year?

I’m like William … EVERY good deal I see is WAY too far for me to take advantage of. I’m just starting out turning and I ALREADY KNOW I’d love to have this bad boy. But New Jersey??? DANG !

I got a better look at this today. Runs very smooth and has several tool rests with it. It can be taken apart fairly easily and moved with an appliance truck. The heaviest part looks like the bed. Runs on 110 volts. Some body, come and get it!!

Would be willing to reduce price if you take both the lathe and dust collection system if you come from a long distance. We’ve got everything else in the shop sold so these two items are the last to go!
