Was it dead? I was hoping to find some talk about the reason it was taken down, it didn’t appear to be dead to me.

Not many old elms left. We have an old one in the back yard (not nearly that large). We wanted it trimmed but the tree guy said they don’t like to do elms that are living.

The guy that posted the video said it had Dutch Elm’s disease and had to be removed to keep it from obliterating the houses.
Beautiful wood, though. And it’s all being turned into furniture.
