Thanks, Mike. I appreciate the old well built tools too. I have a cordless Craftsman 19.2 drill and it burned out the clutch driving screws and I put in a new one and drove very few screws with it and the new one did not last a year. I use a DeWalt over the weekend and it is a real workhorse. That or a Rigid will be my next buy!

I do love this model drill. It’s funny you’d mention Ridgid as an option for your next drill. I’ve been a DeWALT guy for a long time, but when it came time for me to get a cordless drill I went for the Ridgid. The drill that DeWALT offers is by no means junk, it’s a good drill. I preferred the size and weight of the Ridgid which has loads of power and a 1/2” capacity chuck! The Ridgid charges in about 20 minutes and the company has a no BS policy for battery replacement.
