Code Generator >>>> http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/files/YouTube_code.htm
.

.

Open the code generator and past your copied partial URL in the top field
There are 4 choices to copy.

Code Generator >>>> http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/files/YouTube_code.htm

I always choose the top one.

Click on the code and it should highlight (blue), then right click and choose copy.

Now go to your Lumberjocks page and right click in the area that you type you project description and past the code there.

Then click Preview to see it it worked for you.

It’s really not that complicated to do. Give it a try!

Hi Tony. I guess I don’t understand the need for a code?

When I make a video on You tube and want to put it into a Lumberjocks topic, I open the video on You tube, copy the address at the top and paste it into my post on LJs .

What is the advantage of using the code?

Thanks, Jim

Using the code means the video appears in your post without having to go to YouTube to watch, Jim. Many folks will not click on a link.
Thanks for the reminder, Tony.

Hi Jim,
With the code you can see the video on your LJ’s post along with a link to also view it on YouTube if you wish. Just more toys to play with. Or you can just copy the YouTube address link as you mentioned and do it that way.
I should have added a bit more info to this! Still waking up! LOL!

I wish I could get any video posted. I keep missing something every time I try.

Never got into the videos as English is not my native language. I speak very well but for a video I guess I will need a script and it’s too much trouble…
Hey Tony how about going into old school silent movies :) hahahaha
Anyway, if and whenever I would like to make one, I’m sure you my friends here will guide me through it with your wisdom.

Dave & Klaus,

I’m not sure why this don’t work for you guys. Are you copying just the end of the URL address?
And then pasting it into the Generator? Then copy the code and paste that into where you type the description about your project. All you need is one of the codes there are 4 just use the top one.
Hope this helps!

Bob,

I know better and I’m sure everyone else here does too! I have see some very complicated project that you have created and posted here on LJ’s and most likely they didn’t come with directions on how to make them.

So with that said I know if you put your mind to it you could do this without a doubt! Besides last time I looked I don’t have any DUMB HEAD buddies! So there! :)

Thanks woodshaver and CFrye
I think what confused me was where’s the code generator file and now after going back and rereading every thing I see it’s at the top but to someone new to this [me] they will just skip over it and get last quite quickly.

I now see how it works and appropriate the help and it’s up in my favorites when needed.
