I'm a community college physics professor, and I still (and may always) feel like a beginner at woodworking. Most of what I've done so far has been from commercial plans, but I'm completing a mailbox of my own design. I may post pictures of it when the finishing is completed and it's installed.
It's quite an inspiration to see some of the beautiful and imaginative projects pictured on LJ.
Nothing like the smell of sawdust to pull you out of a bad mood.
