`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> I'm Living in crown hieghts Brooklyn. Grew up in Oregon, and Connecticut. worked w general contractors for 9 years, now am working full time Oil painting and Sculpting. But A large chip of my heart lies within WOOD.. Can't help it, I cought this strange woodworker fever during a sculpture class 15 yrs ago. Here for tips tricks chops spindles tails and joints... Patrick Miles. Wow, Great to find some of my "people"... I rarely bump into a wood fanatic in nyc, but when I do I see the passion in their knuckles, and can't stop talking about tiger maples or joinery. Just got a GREAT book on THE COMPLETE JAPANESE JOINERY... Thank you for all the great welcomes in the first hour here. I'm now really looking forward to posting pictures and discussing works in progress... Seems like a great place to spend some time on this machine.. I'm also a bit of a nautical nut... Love wooden Boats so may post a few of my new paintings related...
Thanks for the warm welcome.. Patrick.

Update : Building a new standing tool chest of walnut and elm.. Thanks to all the great people here I'm usually ahead of the game now.. What a great place this is.... Lumberjock's Rule! More photos to come in february 08. ---`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º>

Patrick, i’ll try and get you some pictures of some stock on friday when my secretary (my girlfriend) is off from college so she can take some pics, she is much better with a camera than i am. I will put rubbing alcohol on a section of each board so you can see the grain better. I’ve been told alcohol evaporates fast so it wont damage the dry kilining. Feel free to tell your friends.

I Patrick, I am originally from Brooklyn. I have been in California’s Mojave Desert for the last 21 years
where I discovered woodworking. Tell me are there any places to sell and display your work in your area?
