My wife said I could buy the Grizzly G0555LX 14” Deluxe Bandsaw for my birthday. Ordered Saturday, notified today it is enroute.

I can’t wait! I’ve never had bad luck with a Grizzly tool yet (knock on wood), so I hope I’m lucky again. I’ve read good reviews on here about this saw so far.

WOO WOO! Happy Birthday to me!

Did you grab the LX or the LANV?
They’re the same saw other than the color, but the LANV is on sale for $100 less…

Happy birthday btw. :-)

I got the LX, also 10% off with a coupon code they sent me. The LX has cast iron wheels which to me was important.

bullhead1 Umm, NO! You don’t get rid of a wife like this.

Thanks all for the nice words.

My wife has plans for me to make extra money, so there is an Ulterior motive to her madness. :-)

When I retire next June my wife wants me out of the house six hours a day so I do not bug her. That is why I am getting the machines.

Okay, does she have a sister? You lucky dog. Enjoy your b-day gift and make something nice for her.

The LANV has cast iron wheels too, but so long as you’re happy, you got your $$ worth.
Let us know how it goes with setup and delivery. :-)

I THINK that black Anniversary Edition has cast aluminum wheels. You will like the cast iron better.

Got one 2 weeks ago. Dragged it across the boarder myself. You’ll love it. Get a good blade though and mobile base.

Mike, the LANV is on their webpage and on the first page of their spring 2013 catalog, not in the big catalong I think.

gfadvm, from the webpage description:

The G0555LANV 14” Deluxe Bandsaw has many of the same great specifications and features as our extremely popular G0555, but with the following notable differences:

Computer-balanced cast iron wheels
Rack-and-pinion guide post adjustment for upper blade guides
Sturdy T-shape fence design
