Part 1: Hiding Pocket hole drilling.

Prior to drilling my pocket holes, I take the piece over to the band saw and slice about a 1/4”x 5” from where the ph is going to be drilled. After hole is drilled I glue back the slice,for almost a seamless join. Better than those ugly inserts and cheaper too. You can use a shorter screw if needed. What I have learned, is to remember that I am going to use this method before I drill my first hole. Doh!
