Does anyone know how to remove the drum form a Craftsman drum sander model 351.215680? A spring (part number 22177.00) came loose and is sticking out of the side hole on the drum.

Looking at the diagrams from mahdaa.

It looks like you need to remove the covers. Maybe the pressure plates front and rear. Then remove parts 29 and 21. You may also have to remove parts 19 and 20. At that point the drum assembly should slide to the left (facing the front of the machine)

I can’t figure out how to get part number 19 off the end of the drum. I took the 3 screws out and it still won’t come off.
