I am a 69 yr old woodworker that has been at it since a toddler at my grand-dad and my fathers side. In the intervening years I have been fortunate enough to become the owner of a very complete shop. Everything is housed in a small [26 X 30] barn that my friends and I built in 1984. All project storage is upstairs and all machinery and tools are at ground level. I also have at my disposal a LT 40 Woodmizer saw-mill a 1980 f-350 dump stake truck for the hauling of logs and lumber.
Having made friends with several arborists in the area I have a steady supply of saw logs. I no longer have much interest in large projects-
such as barns, sheds, stables, garages, etc. My current interests are in the design and build of outdoor furniture, arbors, pagodas, pergolas
and such. I am also a rod builder[fishing] a knife maker, and have more than a passing interest in iron work[some would call it black-smithing].
Seven children, 19 grand-children, and four great-grand-children keep me sufficiently busy with requests and ideas. I would be most remiss if I didn't give much credit to my darling wife [Barb] who reminds me of upcoming birthdays and such. I am now off to the shop to put the finishing touches to two sets of building blocks for my 1yr old twin
grand sons.
