Since then, I have see an Irwin NOS handle that is unmarked and very identical.

That’s really cool. I don’t think I’ve seen one made to exchange the bits for different ones like that. Also I’ve had a bear of a time sharpening my auger bit with the backward wings like that. I can’t get the corner sharp enough. It feels very sharp but still tears the wood badly.
