Hey Everyone! The left side of my kitchen is really beginning to look like a kitchen. I am gettiing very excited, because the next step we are taking tommoro, is putting my kitchen sink in….......YAY!!! I have three more cabinets to build. Two upper that go on each side of my stove, the third goes above my refridgerator. The two upper cabinets that go on each side of my stove are 60 inches long. They fit on the top of my countertops. My husband is installing granite tile for my countertops, I have posted pics of the great job he is doing with them. This was supposed to be my job …......but he started and won’t stop, and he IS doing a great job. soooooo…..............., I am sitting back watching him on the countertops. We put down, 3/4 plywood first, then 1/2 inch tile board, then the 1/2 inch granite. When it came to the front edge pieces, he made a jig to hold them on, giving the glue time to dry and keeping the tiles into place.

laying the granite tile for the countertops

Ha ....my cabinets makes his tile work look really good!!!

Beautiful, beautiful cabinets!

The two of you make a beautiful team.

What find of wood is it? Could it be Birch?

Robin,

It’s gorgeous Robin. Can I come play in your kitchen when it’s done? I really like how you’ve used the sapwood/heart wood as a design element. It works well in your rustic theme. Now for a couple of questions:

1. What finish will you use?

2. Have you picked out your hardware yet?

May you and your loved ones enjoy generations of family fun and good meals there.

Robin,
That is one spectacular set of cabinets. Having granite is nice… but those cabinets are to die for!
What a beautiful kitchen… and it is truly custom and made with character and taste.
All I can say is WOW!
