My name is Brian. I love working with my hands. Though I don't really have any skills I should say that I have mastered. I like creating and building. I've done some clay sculpting, and I draw.

I used to have a job in an art department at a large sign company. I build prototypes for customers, custom vinyl jobs, decals banners and the occasional wood sign.

I now have a job as a scientist for a very big pharmaceutical company. Even though I like my job ok, I miss working with my hands. I recently purchased a 1960 shops smith that came with a jointer. I also have a radial arm saw that I acquired from my Grandfather. I completely took them apart and cleaned them. My next project is to build a table for my RAS. My problem is that it didn't come with the rails, not sure what I'm going to do about that. I also plan to get a band saw. I'd like to try out several things in the future: boxes, instruments, carved figures, wood games (chess, dominoes), toys for my daughter. I recently turned a baseball bat. I'll try a bowl pretty soon. I look forward to getting help from you guys and sharing my experiences.

    Thanks
    Brian
