I grew up working with wood with my dad. We did more construction of things - fences, tree houses, stuff like that - but that definitely gave me a strong basis in working with tools. I started to build little things for myself - frames, stands, boxes, around the age of 12 or 13... Now, I am in the process of making a little shop for myself in my garage and love learning how to do new things with wood. I tend to make smaller things - dog dish holders, rings, bracelets, etc - but will eventually tackle that 7' glue up!
