Picked up a Cadet CGH402 heater that I ordered on line from Lowes. Delivered to store week sooner than expected, but that was great since I wanted to get finish on some boxes & it was going to be in 20’s tonight.

I’ve read many posts, blogs & ratings on heaters for garages & didn’t want to spend a fortune on something that wouldn’t be used too much. We’re in the mountains of Western NC, but it’s not below freezing that often & garage is insulated. So decided on this 240v, 4000w unit. I did have 220 line & outlets put in the garage a while ago.

My work space is in a bay behind one of two others so I’d like to have gotten the 5000w unit, but wiring wouldn’t handle it.

Not near enough time & information to rate appropriately, but it was ready to go out of the box. Temp was about 58 & ran this unit for about an hour & it was 66 in the work area. So I was able to get the last coat of finish on the boxes (lined up on the assembly table).

“To each his own” & “results may vary” but if you’re in a similar environment, may want to check into it. I’ll wait to give it a rating for a while.

Should be fine. Got to stay warm.

Monte – Compared to your location, our weather would probably be down right balmy!
Really enjoying the shop cleanup bogs.
Hang tough on the split, my wife (2nd) is the absolute best thing that happened for me.
