Have worked with wood on some craft items in the past. Looking forward to having a shop in 3rd stall of the garage, with some nice quality (& affordable to me) equipment. Expect to be interested in bookcases, cabinets, tables, etc.

Making some progress on improving my woodworking skills. Purchased equipment based on advise & reviews on this site. Now have Ridgid 4512 TS, Rikon 10-325 BS & Ridgid 4424 oscillating sander as key pieces. Boxes intrigue me & an initial focus.

Welcome Darc. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

lysdexic – Thanks for the welcome note. Like your profile name. I sure am finding the site very helpful & hope at some point I can give back.

We’ve been here (Weaverville area, north of Asheville), over 10 years & love it. Moved from WI after living in IL & MI too.
