cutting slices for an end grain cutting board - 10 replies

i never seen to be able to cut nice even slices to turn on edge for an end grain cutting board. have tried several routes, but none seem to work for me. any ideas????? any help would be greatly appreciated. i hate to give up on them as you can do so many different designs.

adding a bread board end to a cutting board - 3 replies

i saw at some point that someone used a dowel pin(s) to attach the end on. used 3 dowel pins and only the center one was glued in place. any one have any info on doing this??? thank you, paul
