rikon 10-325 tension spring assembly movement? - 2 replies

While doing a tuneup on my 10-325, I noticed the upper wheel had a 1/8” wobble front to back. Looking further, it is actually the sping assembly the wheel bolts into , moving. Is this normal with the blade removed and the tension released? Doesnt seem right to me but I’m no bandsaw tech. Any info would be welcome. Thanks Dave

Trying to find some lumber storage space, I picked a spot under my shops lean-to and went at it. I plan on stuffing it...

Been using my jointer on a make-do roll around dolly since I bought it last summer but it sat about 6” higher than it should have, not good for a short- legged guy. Took care of that this week and test drove it yesterday.Nothin fancy, no foot operated locks, used casters and some scrap metal, rides like a cadillac.Real stable with the scre...

roughsawn green oak - 13 replies

A local sawmill sells roughsawn oak @ .80/ bd.ft., Is this something I could air dry and build cabinets with in a year or so? If possible, seems better than paying $2.+ at the hardwood dealer for kiln-dried stuff.

Tool Monger - 9 replies

Been in the market for a plunge base for my pc690 router. While surfing CL came across a guy who was getting out of WW and clearing out his tools and had some pc stuff for sale so I jumped in my truck and headed over. When I got there I was overwhelmed by all the stuff he had packed in this small shop, Drill presses, lathes, clamps, routers, p...

1st post, 1st table - 13 replies

Hey guys, 1st time poster. I’ve been enjoying this forum for a few months now and thought I would share my latest project and get some constructive criticism as well. It’s a farmhouse table for my daughter, she saw one on the web and ask me to make one. [IMG]http://i46.tinypic.com/pkw...
