This has been a challenging project. The background has been difficult to get the proper depth but I’m gaining on it. . I will go ahead and finish the background as I have it drawn out but I’m sure I will change a few pieces until I get the effect I’m looking for. Woods used—Walnut, Holly,Spalted Beech,Spalted Sycamore, Yellowheart, Ebony, Fishtail Oak, Poplar, Lignum Vitae, Purpleheart, Afromosia, Vera wood, Peruvian Walnut, Tulipwood. 140 pieces so far.

this is really coming along mike, im glad we can see the sketch of where future pieces will be, it lets me try to visualize what color i would put and what effect i would give it, but then watch what you end up doing with it, i love this one, as this is my kind of habitat ..i love living in the mountains…i look forward to seeing how this ends up…
