Where the buffalos roam.

My wife’s cousin owns a buffalo ranch in North Carolina. Every year all of the buffalo ranchers hold different events around the country. Big hoop te do affairs where they have cooking competitions, lots of story telling, different auctions and a good time for all that attend. This year Buffalo Jack( my wife’s cousin) asked if I could come up with a keepsake box that he could put up for auction at a couple of events. After discussing the costs I decided that I would be interested in a barter arrangement. You see, Jack has some Black Walnut in one of his barns that he would be willing to trade for a couple of my custom boxes. Now I’ve seen some of this walnut and I know that it would be a great addition to my inventory.
So I will soon be doing a step by step WIP of this project. I will start by constructing the box, then drawing the intarsia pattern then doing the intarsia inlay on the box top. Should be lots of fun

Looking forward to the step by step. I love intarsia and apart from a simple project with my grandson a couple of years ago, I haven’t done any. It’s a lot of fun to work with the scroll saw, so this will be very interesting to me. I think I like it because I can sit down a lot.

Looking forward to this new project. You always do some dandys so I expect this one will be a dandy in itself. Can’t wait to see this new project in action.
