Would like to start woodworking as a hobby and have been doing a lot of reading on it. Recently got a Craftsman table saw good old 113 model :)

Was on a tight budget of $150 so had an option of going with brand new Ryobi, Skil and similar brands or old working table saw that needs a little tune up.

Got the 113.298750 from Craigslist (did not find many of these while researching). The guy i bought it from was the second owner and is a building contractor by profession, so i believe he took good care of it.

The saw had a little rust, but the blade alignment was great (for me). Now i am in the process of buying some things like link blets (did not get the machined pulleys yet). It was missing the guard spreader support so ordered it from ereplacementparts. It has original rip fence and do not have any money left to upgrade it, so going to use the method to align it given in the manual.

The saw came with a mobile base which works good. Today levelled the saw, removed the webbed wings cleaned everything and put the back again. So far did not feel the need to make any trunnion adjustments.

Got a featherboard from HF (my favorite place) just to help start cutting some lumber. Hopefully the dust bag from HF helps and i also plan to making a cutout to block of the dust falling off on the motor from behind the saw. Going to get a dial indicator with magnetic base from HF soon.

Next on the list of zero clearance insert and runners for the sled.

Recently took down old pergola from our backyard so have few pieces of lumber to use. I did make a coffee table as soon as i got the saw as i could not resist the temptation. It turned out okay, need to stain and seal it.

Lot of things to say and discuss :)
