i am making a art deco mantel clock and this is the base, its all veneered with koa over poplar it should be done tomorrow.

That truly does look as if it were on fire. A beautiful pice of wood. I’ll look for the finished clock – should be a showpiece for someone’s mantle.

thanks all, i used a curling iron and a regular flat iron and yellow glue to put it on

you can get it online but you will pay big bucks for this kind of koa, let me know what size you need and i can have my veneer guy slice some up for you at about 10 bucks a sq ft
