« Part 1: NEW Radial arm saw!!! < Part 2 of New Stuff!!! series no next part

Hey everyone,

It’s been a long time since I posted, but I just wanted to say that I finally got a Planer. It’s a Dewalt, and it’s about 10 years old, but it was free and almost unused. It was my uncles, and he gave it to me indefinitely. If he needs it, he will obviously be able to borrow it, but otherwise it’s mine I guess.

I wanted to get a planer that could use helical heads and I don’t think that this model will do that, but alas. I ran a board through it, and there was little snipe as far as I could see so I think it’s all good.

OK a loaner eh, so thats a temporary “You suck”

As you use it and get the feel of how it works best in your down time and if you get a chance check out all the post on this machine as there is a huge amount of info available.
From memory the latest I saw was from Michael the crazy russian and he did a very well presented no snipe post.

Dot forget the dust collector !!

Indefinite loan is really hard to beat, especially on a planer like that. Nice score and don’t forget to make your Uncle something nice…

That is a really good planer. Loud, but works well. I had one for several years and really liked it. I was sorry when it died. You should be very happy with it until you decide to upgrade.
