OK, so this isn’t DIRECTLY related to woodworking, just not yet. I decided to post some pics to help those of you who are undecided on how to start a remodeling project, the correct way. I am sure that many of you have attempted this in your home or your friends, relatives, etc. Usually, it turns into a mess when you open up a wall and see what someone before you has covered up. I believe that guys like me who take pride in their trade are a dying breed. I have seen many “attempts” at what some hacks call Carpentry. I run across a bunch of them out here earning a paycheck. Not really caring of what they turn out as long as the check clears. They tend to make my job tougher, because I try to teach them the correct way to do things. Basic almost fundamental carpentry skills. Skills like, laying out a wall, or how to build a set of stairs correctly. I have gotten many “Deer in the headlights “stare from these young men. I pray for them.

I am not joining this group of so called “Tradesmen.” I am just trying to make it easier for them. I have been in the construction industry for my whole life and have finally found how to start a remodel project correctly. Sometimes it’s just easier to start with a clean sheet of paper.

P.S…....even though I am turning Galoot, there is something to be said for MORE POWER!!!! I don’t think I would have attempted this (At my age) with hand tools.

Sweetness. That was fun, wasn’t it ? I love when we need to rent big equipment (even Bobcats).

Yeah, anything with a 4:12 or less pitch needs to come on down anyway. lol

Now that’s remodeling the fun way.
