I had some brad point wood drill bits that were not drilling a decent hole which I was about to replace. I have been looking around for a while for some metric measuring tools, not flimsy junk, but excellent quality and price point.Everyone who did design drafting years ago knew that there were only 2 names of drafting machine heads and scales that stood out: Kuhlmann and Mitutoyo.Every engineer and machine shop operative also knew that calipers and assorted measuring devices worth having were Starrett and Mitutoyo.So I was utterly surprised to find 2 beautifully made, precise and sturdy rules b...

As many of you know, I can’t get to the shop much nowadays due to health issues, but LJs is my daily visit place where I can keep up with all the great posts and projects and also have some fun to make my day.Anyway, I was thinking about how I could contribute something of real value, so I decided to review tools that I did use when back in the shop.This review is on the Rockwell Blade Runner which I purchased for less than $100 a while back and used it. I have looked at the Fein Multi Multimaster and the Rockwell offering, then sighed as I looked at my Social Security check.There is no way I could afford or justify this ocaissionaly used tool nomatter how great it was. Looks like it is waaaaaaaaaay overpriced considering for the same money you could get a good saw,router setup and many other heavy usage necessary tools.
