So, I know this is the project’s section ,but I HAD to share this to let everyone know where to go to get the best deals on woodworking equipment… Search CraigsList for AUCTIONS!!! I went to my first auction today and it was a cabinet shop in Orlando that was changing their market strategy, so they needed to liquidate the countertop (laminate/formica) division of their mfg. process. I picked up a Powermatic 64A with Accufence (60”?) and extension table for $100. A Powermatic 66 sold for $110, but it was a 3 phase motor and I just don’t have the room for that kind of saw.

Either way, great bargains can be had at auctions. Just wanted to pass along the info to anyone who was not aware of their existence or had reservations as to what they were all about.Powermatic 64A auctiion block 618

Afterwards I went to the bar to celebrate and got one of these for $2.PBR

I’m happy to announce the winner of today’s “You Suck” award. And the winner is tworedballs. That’s a true deal. Hey, twored, how do you pronounce your moniker anyways?
