« Part 1: pulled the BS trigger...hmm,that sounds weird Part 2 of bandsaw series Part 3: Putzing around with the GO555P »

I had a hole open up in my schedule that let me sneak home early and meet the delivery truck.
So I got the darn saw and it is gorgeous.
Everything looks perfect with no shipping damage and the delivery guy even helped move the big box off his truck and onto my dolly. I thought it would have been easier to leave it all on the pallet and use his tailgate lift and pallet mover, but that was not his mind …..I wanted the pallet wood to practice on!

Here are some pics of our pre-dinner attack on the boxes. The kids had fun too!

Now it is time to really clean out some junk and turn the garage into a shop. It is embarrassing to see how well put together many LJ’ers shops are. I have been following the french cleat postings and will do some of this on my walls to mount some cabinets and tools and get things organized.
Too much to do, too little time and $

I got it almost fully assembled tonight with help from my two little elves.
Riser block installed, larger blade, tuned up and did a test run and test cut of some plywood. It is actually much quieter than I thought it would be. It makes my lights dim when I fire it up though.
Loving the saw.
