Huge opening now. The doors have been cut out and the new walls are starting to take shape. Temporary supports are holding the roof up. The supporting structure for the sliding barn doors have been removed. Carpenter ants by the thousands found their end as I dug in and destroyed their home.
My father in law showed up to help me frame in the walls and get the sheathing complete before the weather closed in. Thanks Bob.

The planned new look.

Those doors are going to be fantastic. Personally, I prefer carriage doors or barn doors to the roll up doors. They just seem to have more character.

Hey, that’s coming along just fine!
I can see where you gain a lot of overhead access (if you had a roll-up door)... as well as more area for lights.
Looking good!
