I am new to scrolling and am in the process of completing some small projects. I find myself wanting to just jump in and start a huge detailed project, but, alas, I am just a beginner. Will be posting some pics soon, after I send a couple off to my dad and best friend.

I have been scrolling for a few years. How big are the big projects you want to do? Some of the big projects are not much more technically complicated then smaller ones, they just take longer or have more parts. You may be able to jump in sooner then you think!

ScrollGirl is about to host a scrollsaw class on the site. You might want to join in.

Hang in there and just have fun. I have been scrolling for about 35 years and still have fun nearly every day. I understand what you mean about just jumping in….nothing wrong with that idea. How better to learn on your own.

i enjoy doing the ones that I do, I just feel that they are not challenging enough for me. Or, rather, not that that I take my time, but seem to rush and try and finish it quickly!
