We recently took down several large long needle pines that were too close to the house for comfort. I had them sawn into lumber. Now I’m trying to think of uses for the bark sided, irregular shaped slab off cuts that were left over. Anyone have any ideas for projects with these (most are about 12 feet in length)? Besides building a fire, I mean

I’ve never been made to feel so welcome. My heartiest thanks to all you guys for your comments. Now I’ll try to embed my first images showing our sawmilling project. I’m still stacking the wood for drying and everyday I wake up so sore I can hardly move. I’m getting too old for this part of woodworking.
Pulling the slabs and boards is hard work!
